This workshop is open and beneficial for any entrepreneur/business minded women in any field of work (does not have to be fitness or yoga related).
- Participate in group and individual creativity exercises to help expand your awareness of opportunities, and clarify your personal and unique career path/business vision
- Receive step by step guidance in how-to write a clear and effective business proposal and pro-forma.
- Gain access to a large pool of resources for cost-effective (read: cheap, or in many cases FREE!) marketing and advertising.
- Devise a concrete business plan and marketing calendar so you can put your ideas into action ASAP.
- Network and share ideas with other talented and resourceful women.

I am very excited to announce that we have just confirmed that we have decided to open up some of our workshops to the public. Previously these workshops were available to students enrolled full time in our 200 hour Teacher Training Course. Now anyone can get a taste of this in-depth learning experience. Every workshop (dates and topics listed below) is 5 hours long and will include a theoretical component focusing on anatomy and technique, a full length theme based class as well as hands-on group work to integrate the information convered.
*Note there is also an option to just participate in the 1 Hour Yoga Class that will take place from 10:15-11:15am on each of these days. The class will follow the theme of the day's workshop. The cost for this option is $18 per class.

Location: Crown Heights Fitness; 1458 President st. - Ground floor entrance - between Kingston and Albany ave.
Time: 9:15am-2:15pm
Cost: $80 per workshop
On the following Sundays:

On the following Sundays:
2/26/12 The Breath. Understand the mechanics of breathing. Develop an awareness of the diaphram and the effect breathing has on the rest of the body. Learn and practice breathing techniques (review some covered on the intensive and learn some new ones). Understand why breathing is such an important component in a yoga practice.
3/4/12 The Spine. Explore the deeper anatomical structure of the spine and it's role in yoga/life. Learn about the different roles the front vs the back of the spine play. Experience all of the different ways your spine can move. Understand the effect breathing has on posture and spinal alignment.
3/18/12 Balance: Propioception, the Vestibular Systmem and Vision Learn why encouraging imbalance is the key to building balance. Why is developing balance is so crucial to aging gracefully.
3/25/12 Mindfulness Practice various mindfulness techniques such as visualization, "gazing" and meditation. Explore Jewish and non-Jewish (psychology based) sources of meditation. Focus on how yoga is a way of building focus/attention/calming the mind.
4/29/12 Yoga Therapy. Explore the emotional component of yoga and what poses can be effective in treating a variety of conditions, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, lack of focus etc.. Learn how to analyse students' and individualize teaching based on posture and poses favored vs. find challenging.
5/6/12 Yin Yoga and the Organ Systems This workshop will be a complete paradigm shift in terms of the way yoga has been explored thus far. Understand how Traditional Chinese Medical wisedom can be applied to yoga. Yin Yoga shares many components with Restorative Yoga and is often used for therapeutic purposes.
5/20/12 The Art of Sequencing Learn how to create a flow "recipe" so you can teach focused and powerful classes. Practice improvising and know when and how to break away from the "recipe" to best cater to your students' needs.
